Okay: I'm going to say this one more time. This picture absolutely doesn't do justice to the pendulum. There's an actual story attached to this one. Sheree and I were in New Orleans, poking around the non-tourist places. We found a vintage chandelier in an alley behind a curio shop in the French Quarter. (No kidding...even though I know it sounds like the start of a seriously spooky routine.) We found out the chandelier had been hanging for decades in the ballroom of a New Orleans hotel.
The chandelier is dripping with these glorious vintage lead crystal lustres. This thing's got to be well over 100 years old! Sheree, being Sheree, sprang into action and after a few fevered minutes we were able to secure some of the crystals.
THINK about the parties this crystal has seen. How many thousands of people from every era passed under it? Am I the only one that thinks this qualifies as seriously cool?
Richard Osterlind has a pendulum with crystal from the same chandelier. The crystal has been hand-wired in non-tarnish silver plate. The whole thing is capped with a horoscope wheel made of metal alloy and enamel. It's done on a Swarovski crystal chain. This thing simply explodes with light.
It is a very special pendulum.
